Watery Eye Treatment
Tears are normally discharged through your tear ducts and then evaporate. When you produce too many tears, they overwhelm your tear ducts, and you develop watery eyes.

Watery Eyes in Ambala City
One of the most prevalent reasons for watery eyes is dry eye syndrome. Extremely dry eyes can cause you to produce excess tears. Because your eyes are not receiving proper lubrication, you continually produce an abundance of tears, which continues the cycle.
If your tears do not contain the right balance of water, salt, and oils, your eyes can become too dry. The resulting irritation causes an overproduction of tears that spill out through your tear ducts.

Why To Choose Watery Eye Institute For Watery Eye Treatment
The reason for your dry eyes will determine the best treatment. You should contact a physician or eye doctor if you have excessive or prolonged tearing and any of the following symptoms:
Are watery eyes normal?
What’s the outlook?
Watery eyes are common at any age. This condition is not always a cause for concern. Epiphora due to allergies, a cold, or an eyelid stye usually resolves on its own.
However, epiphora can also be a symptom of a serious infection. See your doctor urgently if you have epiphora along with pain, changes in vision, or a gritty sensation in your eyes.
Wash your hands regularly. Avoid touching your face to prevent spreading germs to your eyes.
If you wear contact lenses, you may be at higher risk of eye infections that lead to epiphora. Remember to wash your hands thoroughly before placing or removing lenses. Clean lenses daily. Replace old or expired contact lenses.
Protect your eyes and sight and help prevent epiphora with small, consistent changes. Wear sun protection when you’re outside. Reduce eye strain by wearing protective glasses and limiting your time looking at screens. Make complete eye exams a part of your regular health checkups.
Why Do My Eyelids Feel Dry?
Eyelids are more sensitive to irritants or skin issues. You can treat your dry eyelids with medications or relieve the dryness with home remedies. Your doctor can tell you the best approach.
What are some common symptoms of eye irritation?
The specific symptoms that you may experience are dependent on the source of your eye irritation. However, the most common symptoms of eye irritation include:
- itchy eyes during the day or at night
- watery or teary eyes
- eye redness
- eye pain
- blurred vision

What’s Causing My Child to Have Watery Eyes and How Do I Treat It?
The treatment for watery eyes in infants and toddlers will vary. Often, you don’t need to do much to treat the watery eyes and the symptom will clear up on its own.
In other cases, you may need a prescription to clear up an infection. Or your child may need to have surgery to resolve a long-lasting blocked tear duct.
What are some of the causes of eye irritation?
There are many things that can cause eye allergies, including pollen, dust mites, molds, and pet dander.
Symptoms typically occur in both eyes shortly after you’re exposed to an allergen. For example, if you’re allergic to pet dander you may experience eye allergy symptoms if you visit the home of someone who has a cat or dog.
How your doctor diagnoses eye pain when you blink
If the cause of your eye pain isn’t obvious, your doctor may need to run tests or conduct an exam. A general family doctor can prescribe medications for many of the most common causes of eye pain. These include pink eye, styes, and dry eyes.

Risk Factors
Factors associated with an increased risk of Watery eye include:
- Allergies.
- Blepharitis (which is eyelid inflammation)
- Blocked tear duct.
- Common cold.
- Corneal abrasion (scratch): First aid.
- Corneal ulcer.
- Dry eyes (caused by decreased production of tears)
- Ectropion (a condition in which the eyelid turns outward)
Causes of Watery Eye
Watery eyes can be due to many factors and conditions.
In infants, persistent watery eyes, often with some matter, are commonly the result of blocked tear ducts. The tear ducts don’t produce tears, but rather carry away tears, similar to how a storm drain carries away rainwater. Tears normally drain into your nose through tiny openings (puncta) in the inner part of the lids near the nose. In babies, the tear duct may not be fully open and functioning for the first several months of life.
In older adults, persistent watery eyes may occur as the aging skin of the eyelids sags away from the eyeball, allowing tears to accumulate and flow out.
Sometimes, excess tear production may cause watery eyes as well.
Allergies or viral infections (conjunctivitis), as well as any kind of inflammation, may cause watery eyes for a few days or so.
Medication causes:
- Chemotherapy drugs
- Epinephrine
- Eyedrops, especially echothiophate iodide and pilocarpine

Amblyopia (Watery eye) causes blurry vision in one eye when something affects how a child’s eyes are developing. As their brain ignores the weaker eye, that eye drifts out of position. Amblyopia is the most common vision issue that affects kids. It’s rare, but amblyopia can affect both eyes at the same time.
What does amblyopia look like?
You might not be able to see anything physically different in your child’s eyes if they have amblyopia. Their affected eye may not line up with the stronger eye — it might look off-center or like it’s drifting in a direction that doesn’t match where they’re looking.
