Mucous Membrane Grafting ( MMG )
This highly specialized surgical technique has become a boon for patients of severe ocular surface disorders (Stevens Johnson Syndrome, Chemical Injury etc.). In this procedure, part of mucous membrane is taken from the mouth and fixed to the surface of eyelids. LJ Eye Institute is one of the few centers in India where this surgery is being done on regular basis; thus making significant difference in the quality of lives of patients who have lost hope.
